We are currently looking for two experienced project managers with a technical background to head our future innovation projects. You will be a part of the Innovation Project Management team within Global Innovation where your primary focus will be to ensuring development of our future medical devices within Flexible Endoscope Systems, Anaesthesia, Airway Management, Cardiology and Neurology.

We have an effective innovation culture at our headquarters in Ballerup where we develop our new medical devices. We have a tradition for fast completion of projects and you will experience a clear link between your results and Ambu’s growth. This sets high demands to your project management skills, adaptability, technical understanding, and broad medical device experience.

Global, user-driven innovation - from idea generation to implementation
As Innovation Project Manager, you will be a key player in the development of our new devices - from initial idea to the implementation in the production site. Our Product Innovation Process has a high degree of user and customer involvement and a part of the job is therefore to meet the medical professionals at their locations in operating rooms, intensive care units or pre-hospital settings. Ambu’s Product Innovation Process takes place in close collaboration with various departments and stakeholders. A central part of the job is to establish a motivating and collaborative working environment around the global project team. You will have close collaboration with the Project Sponsor Team - a project specific team of 4 cross-functional managers that guides and supports the project.

Experience with global project management in the medical device industry
It is key that you are able to use your solid business understanding to discuss market issues in detail, that you are able to contribute in technical discussions, and that you are able to ensure compliance with international standards.

As a person you are self-motivated, committed, structured and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and your team members. You are open-minded and you use your great interpersonal skills in your daily work to drive the projects and motivating the project team members.

You probably hold a degree in engineering and have techical work experience that will support decision-making and challenges during the project and you have at least 3-5 years of solid experience in project management. In this period you have build up experience within product development of medical devices that combines mechanics, software and electronics design or medical devices solely based on mechanical design. It is an advantage if you hold an accredited project management certification.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English and that you thrive in a position that gives you the opportunity to travel about 30 days per year.

Ambu - a visionary and international workplace where your efforts matter
