You’ll be part of THC department where you together with your colleagues will be involved in the entire lifecycle of our offshore wind power projects, from the early stages of the project development until handover of the energised wind farm. You’ll join a diverse and inclusive team of ambitious and responsible specialists who take pride in their work, and who efficiently deliver today’s projects and drives innovative solutions for the projects of tomorrow. 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing and maintaining technical requirements and participating in technical clarifications for sourcing protection systems of AC and HVDC systems, STATCOM, and power electronic-based equipment.
  • driving technical development in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • ensuring the quality of Protection system through compliance with our quality processes
  • optimising the wind farm infrastructure and participating in innovative new cost-efficient solutions.
  • working with integrated protection system as well as with processes of data analyses, power system disturbances, and fault analyses of electrical installations onshore and offshore
  • reviewing suppliers’ detailed design documents, IEC61850 design, protection system schematics, protection system and relay configuration, and factory and site acceptance test procedures and reports.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have sound knowledge of and experience within protection of power electronic-based equipment such as HVDC, STATCOMs, and Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) and their protection and control system
  • are motivated by training other people in your field of competence
  • have a strong knowledge about protection systems, high voltage equipment, LV and utility interfaces and knowledge of protection system architecture and tools about HVDC solutions
  • have a master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering
  • understand electrical transmission system design requirements and how power electronic-based equipment can be utilised to improve grid stability and system performance
  • are self-driven combined with a teamwork spirit, enabling you to thrive in a team.
