In Siemens Gamesa Service R&D we lead the effort to be at the forefront of what positive impact new technologies can have for our environment and business. We are a team that explore new technologies such as drones, AI, batteries and Power to gas and take them from idea to real life test.

How to contribute to our vision
In Service R&D we have established a team devoted to exploring opportunities with new innovative asset management tools across a complex spectrum of power generation and energy storage assets. We are looking for a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset with an in depth understanding of asset management strategies and methodologies combined with operational aspects of running wind turbine assets.

The Head of Product Performance Development will work within our Global Services Business Unit and will work collaboratively with key global and regional stakeholders in sales, strategy, operations, and technology development. The main responsibility is to provide leadership in R&D within road mapping, long-term strategy, and external partnering but also hands on organizational development - all to develop asset management solutions that will support the vision of pursuing renewable energy at 100% capacity factor at lowest landed cost of energy. 

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for a creative mindset combined with interest in developing solutions hands-on. You are curious, explorative and willing to put in the hard work for realizing the ideas. We always work in teams that goes across different organizations, countries and cultures and we look for colleagues who build bridges to external and internal partners.

We are also looking for someone who has:  

  • Strong track record in leading an asset management organization with a strong link to strategy and commercial business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong experience with asset management
  • Familiarity with wind turbine controls and/or loads
  • Familiarity with key value drivers in the energy system
  • Self-starter, with ability to lead technical initiatives and globally distributed teams
  • Must be willing to travel 15% time for domestic and international travel
