Your major working areas will be to join the development projects we have ongoing, to ensure a high quality in terms of EMC and design performance. Making sure our small, highly integrated devices can pass medical standards certification is not a simple task, so your knowledge and lab skills will become a significant addition to our team.

This is a diverse position in which you will thrive the best if you are comfortable with engaging with colleagues and external partners, and capable of working independently and with initially little refinement of the work needed.

As a hardware engineer with EMC and design verification as speciality, you will engage with your colleagues to develop and take part in implementing our new products from idea to market.

If you have knowledge of DFT/DFM and IPC standards, and reliability engineering to further push a product through production, this is a big plus.

The team you join
The position is within R&D and you will join a very new team of 9 developers consisting of embedded electronics and software developers. We have a close link between end-user product and manufacturing of the product as well.

We have not tried creating a product together before, and thus we are just establishing our culture, working habits and processes. However, everyone is highly skilled and experienced, so there is ample room to learn and grow, and influence your own workplace.

Our project is greenfield development of a class III medical device of very small size. Co-existence, IEC60601 compliance, low power long term operation and radio communication are just some of our challenges. We work iteratively, learning and adjusting our process and designs as we learn and grow together.

A day on the job
You will enter a mix of the following working areas:

  • EMC design
  • Work with design and compliance test specifications, lab work, test reporting
  • Work with external partners
  • Automation of tests

We are introducing Agile principles to help the team grow and perform as well as automation where it makes sense for measurements. We are not set in our ways, and we are working with an ‘always improve’ and collaborative and caring mindset.

  • Problem solving skills – analytical deep dive after surveying the options
  • EMC electronics design knowledge
  • Experience with measurement equipment and working in an electronics laboratory
  • Basic software skills – e.g. C/C++ and Python
  • Experience with automation and automated testing principles

Preferred competences:

  • Prior knowledge of good practices related to our goals
  • Agile working principles, such as full stack feature slicing, collaboration
  • Knowledge of Jira/Confluence

You have personal skills which enables you to

  • Give energy to help your team succeed through your engaging and collaborative manner
  • Work across teams with different priorities
  • Ability to work with not well-defined tasks as is the case in a new organisation
  • “Can-do”-attitude – if you need it done, you just get started
  • Add to our Agile journey

At UNEEG medical, we are looking for team members who thrive in an ambitious work environment where can-do attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn something new/unexpected is at our core. We value independence but prefer lifting as a team.
