We are looking for you, a PCB designer with several years of experience, to join our PCB team and strengthen our R&D Hardware electronics group. The Hardware electronics group is responsible for developing the electronics part of Oticon hearing aids and connectivity devices.

We are a passionate and highly specialized team of 5 PCB designers and 3 ME designers. We are “doing magic” within small areas. Our main competency is to design the smallest possible flex PCB’s for the Hearing Instrument or rigid PCB solutions for the connectivity products. We push the design guides to the limits and continually work and explore ways of doing things smaller.

Your job is to do the PCB layout in close cooperation with the Electronics engineers (specialized within RF, antenna and baseband) and the Mechanics engineers. When doing HI (Hearing instrument) designs we need to push the design guides to the limits, which require you have our production and PCB vendors in the design loop from the early beginning. You are involved from the start of the concept phase to the design is handed over to mass-production. You will be involved in several projects at the same time, so it is important you are good at orchestrate your tasks.

You will be responsible for…

  • Layout of PCBs in close cooperation with our baseband, RF designers and Mechanical engineers
  • Component creation (Symbols for schematics / Footprints for layouts)
  • Ensure correct stack-up according to the design and manufacturer capabilities
  • Generate PCB documentation according to Oticon standards
  • Maintain PCB design standards, guidelines and review checklists to ensure a high quality
  • Deliver high quality work in close cooperation with Production, Vendors and the HW engineers.

And you have experience within…

  • Relevant technical education
  • Work experience in design of complex HDI boards and flex PCBs
  • Experience in PCB Design system and tools (Cadence Allegro, Schematic tools, Gerber viewer & etc.)
