Equipment Engineer for Production Support

If yes, then you can be our new Equipment Engineer responsible for ensuring that our production equipment meets the requirements of the authorities.

About the department
In the Biopharm division of Novo Nordisk, we are responsible, among other things, for producing NovoSeven®, hemophilia preparations, Glucagon® and other Biopharm products. We are experiencing a growing demand and have chosen to establish a new factory in Kalundborg to ensure filling and packaging of our products. The filling factory contains the following processes; Washing and Sterilisation, Formulation, Filling and Freeze Drying.

You will be part of one of the teams in Production Support department which consists of approx. 22 employees (9 Technicians, 1 Trainee and rest Chemist and Engineers).

The position
As our new Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for providing daily support for Wash & Sterilisation equipment’s in relation to maintenance and operation thereby ensuring that the department's processes and work routines are in compliance at all times with applicable rules and procedures. You will also be an active player in the preparation of root cause analysis and systematic problem solving (A3) related to equipment failure.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing qualifications in connection with projects, preparation of CR cases, remodeling of existing installations within your own area of responsibility and presenting them for government inspections.

In addition, as equipment responsible you will be driving changes in equipment’s, work on configuration of machines when there are changes and validate them. Also, in this position you will maintain close collaboration with technicians to identify and understand any equipment related issues.
Moreover, you will drive continuous improvements to ensure quality and productivity and maintain LEAN activities to ensure a high GMP level.

Qualifications
You are an experienced Engineer/ Marine Engineer with strong electrical, automation knowledge of machinery or equipment’s or you have some exposure in electric or automation of equipment’s backed by relevant educational qualification. It is preferred that you have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.

It is an advantage that you have experience in a GMP controlled company in the pharmaceutical industry. You are highly analytical and thrive in a position where you handle small and large complex tasks and even carry them to the finish at the agreed time. You take pride in doing quality work and performing the tasks correctly the first time, and it is natural for you to realise the importance of the tasks and prioritise them accordingly.

In addition, you are proactive with ability to work independently and keep your spirits high in stressful situations. Everyday life can offer unforeseen tasks, which is why you should be able to make decisions quickly and keep calm when things are going strong.

Furthermore, you are good at collaborating across professional boundaries and you want to be at the forefront of change processes. As a person you are known for your drive, your impact and the ability to get others with you. You communicate openly and honestly and can navigate a feedback culture.
