Kamstrup is one of the world's leading producers of smart system solutions for measuring energy and water consumption and is one of the leading European suppliers of smart electricity meters. As an engineering intern, you will get a central role in our high-level software development group, which is part of the Wireless Communication department.

You will be included in the team on an equal footing with both technicians, civil engineers and diploma engineers in a multidisciplinary development group. The team has a shared task to develop and implement various wireless communication systems for remote reading of consumption meters. You will be part of a good working environment, where you will have the opportunity to strengthen your personal development as well as professional competencies.

An internship with focus on software development, maintenance and quality assurance of product portfolio
During your internship, you will be part of the daily operation in the department on an equal footing with the permanent staff. You will be involved in all task levels including bug fixing, development of features and tools, continuous integration, test and automatic test. As a natural part of this, you will become acquainted with all facets of the job as a software developer at Kamstrup.

During the internship, you will be dealing with the following:

  • Microsoft, .Net, Visual Studio, C#, Unit Test, MsTest, NUnit, JIRA and SVN
  • Continuous Integration, TeamCity, Build Server monitoring and establishment of integration test environment
  • Python and Iron Python
  • If possible, also Linux, C++, QT and Eclipse

The tasks will be adapted to your level of competence, but you are going to work with real tasks and issues.

Personality matters
We are seeking an engineering student whose commitment and updated theoretical knowledge can strengthen the development of Kamstrup. You are well under way studying for a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or similar and seek an internship where freedom with responsibility and development are paramount.

As a person you are independent, but at the same time you value cooperation and professional sparring with your colleagues. You are also careful and work structured with your tasks.

It is a requirement that you have knowledge of and interest in .Net, C#, WPF, GUI and software development in general.
