Are you looking for professional challenges and would you like to be part of a dedicated team of engineers? Do you like to concentrate on test and analysis? And would you thrive on working in a state-of-the-art test department and put your mark on the future roof light windows and building components?

In short, we are looking for someone with the desire to contribute, learn and develop. If that sounds just like you, we will give you the chance to grow and to shape your own career in a positive working climate and we will offer you a world of opportunities - if you have the ability and the drive to take them.

Your challenges
In close collaboration with the team, you will be part of daily tests and analysis related to the development of the future VELUX roof light windows. You will be supporting the team with statistical analysis and an analytical approach to problem solving.

We mainly work with energy and climate issues related to building components e.g. U-values, acoustics, fire, mechanical test, sun simulation etc. as well as safety issues.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Analyse and report test results
  • Conduct laboratory tests
  • Design, validate and implement test methods and equipment
  • Drive the implementation of a statistical approach to data analysis

You will be based at our international test centre in Østbirk close to Horsens, Denmark and the E45 motorway. There will only be limited travel activities.

Your qualifications
We imagine that you have a degree as Master of Engineering or an equivalent longer technical education, preferably with experience from the laboratory or another test environment.

Your strong points are your solid technical foundation, your ability to work in practice and your analytical approach. Preferably you have experience within statistical methods such as design of experiment (DOE) and software such as JMP, Matlab, Labview or similar.

You have an analytical and structured approach to task solving with a good eye for details and the ability to work independently as well as in teams. You can easily comprehend complex problems/issues and disseminate information to others who do not have your technical knowledge.

You are motivated by making a difference in a professional yet informal environment. Competencies such as excellent communication and collaboration skills as well as fluency in English are necessary since you will engage with stakeholders from different parts of our organisation and external partners.

Your opportunities
You will be part of an international and dynamic company where cross-functional knowledge sharing is highly prioritised. We work as one team to achieve ambitious and long-term results, and we need your good spirit and commitment to meet our objectives.

At the VELUX Group, we surround ourselves with competent and committed colleagues. Thoroughness and mutual respect are among our most outspoken core values. We believe in empowering people and we support this through delegating responsibility and continuous employee development.
