Electronic Engineer for product development in R&D

At FOSS, we are driven by a strong sense of purpose, and we hope you are too. A fast growing world population means that the global food production will have to increase by 60% by 2050 to meet the demand. We want to come up with smarter ways to make the best use of agricultural resources, and to help eliminate food waste. If that sounds like something you would like to get out of bed for every Monday morning, then read on.

The job
We are looking for a talented electronic engineer to take on an exciting and technically challenging position and join the Product Development team in our R&D department. We are dealing with sophisticated technology, flow systems and mechanical features based on state of the art electronics and optics.

You will be working in a project team together with many other specialists from mechanical, electrical, optical and chemical fields. We are all focusing on developing and integrating new technology into analytical solutions and instruments for our global customers.

Primary tasks
As an electronic engineer your main tasks will consist of product development, spanning from electronic circuit design, simulation and test to trouble shooting interfaces to optics and mechanics. Tasks thus often require a coordinated effort across the organization, and you will get to work with many different teams and colleagues. The job is located at our new R&D Innovation Centre at Foss Allé in Hillerød, Denmark.

Qualifications
We expect your educational background to be at Master or Bachelor level in electronics engineering, and have experience within the following fields:

  • Design of analog circuits (filters, amplifier and A/D circuits)
  • Design of electro-mechanical driver circuits for motors, solenoids, valves etc.
  • Design of  DC-DC power supplies
  • Design of digital electronics (µc and FPGA circuits)
  • VHDL programming of FPGA using Xilinx Vivado
  • Orcad Capture and Pspice

If you have previously worked with other disciplines it will be considered an advantage e.g mechanics, optics, light, ESW, EMC, or electro mechanical interfaces.

Personal skills
To be successful in this role you need talent for working in teams and for building relationships with many different people and cultures - we picture you as a true team player with a good sense of humor. You are able to plan your own time and coordinate smaller tasks/projects across the teams. This means that you are good at keeping an overview and handling changes and that you thrive with many different types of tasks, including hands-on work like using a soldering iron.

Since FOSS is a global organization, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in both Danish and English.

We offer
We offer a challenging job in an international, innovative and highly successful company. We are market leaders within our field and very proud of the results we deliver. Our work is based on trust and working in teams, and you can expect to enter a great working place where work-life balance and flexibility are valued and where you can bring your ideas to the table and make a real difference. At FOSS, we value our employees and believe in cooperation, in straightforward communication and in setting clear objectives to achieve our goals.
