About the department
In Global Research Technologies we design, produce and formulate compounds for Novo Nordisk´s research pipeline. In the department of applied automation, we work across all department in Global Research Technologies to solve technical problems and more efficiently conduct research.  You have the unique opportunity to contribute with your experience and your knowledge to the success of the entire research community.

The position
As part of a team, you help design, build, purchase and implement novel automation to enable our scientists. You will focus on devices to control processes and devices, move objects and integrate with existing systems. You also give emphasis on design of interfaces to make user experience productive.
Notably, you will be part of an expanding team that includes engineers and scientists. Another aspect of the position is that you will be working in a multifaceted research environment where you work closely with dedicated colleagues across the organization, including core facility specialists within the disease-areas, cell culture and protein technology fields.

Above all, the position offers you excellent opportunities for developing personal competences within an international organization.

Qualifications and requirements 
You hold a degree within IT, automation, electrical engineering or another relevant field, and possess strong experience in automation. Practical experience is highly valued together with working in Denmark to design, source and purchase parts. Getting your hands dirty is a must. Further, you are an expert in microprocessor control and PLC based automation, both design and implementation. Your significant knowledge in scripting languages incl. C#, Python, Java object-oriented programming, relational databases and interfacing with PLC or other lab automation will make you stand out from other candidates. Preferably, you should also have experience of programming and operating cobots or other robots. We need a candidate that knows about PLCs and robot arms at a very practical level!

As a person, you are dedicated, open-minded, have good communication skills and can work in cross-functional teams.
