The opportunity to join the IC Development team at Widex, which is responsible for developing chips for our world-renowned hearing aids. We have strong focus on achieving the best possible performance, creating optimized designs and to leverage the silicon technology to the fullest.  We now have an exciting opportunity for a Digital IC Verification engineer to join our growing IC team and to take part in shaping our verification strategy for the future.   
Your responsibility 
In this role, you will both work on developing and shaping our verification environment and methodology as well as executing and closing verification for assigned parts of the overall design. You work closely with other verification experts as well as design engineers.  We work in a dynamic and agile setup with strong focus on collaboration as well as individual freedom and responsibility. Since we are in the process of developing our verification methodology for our next generation chip-sets, you will have the opportunity to take part in shaping this.  We are working with UVM based methods and exploring how best to use these for different parts of our designs.   
We are looking for candidates with a profile similar to the following:   

  • Experience from executing and closing verification at module or top-level for FPGA or ASIC development
  • Experience from development of verification environments

Knowledge and experience from latest verification methodologies such as: 

  • UVM
  • Specman e 
  • Portable Stimulus 
  • UVMC  
  • Scripting (Python, Tcl, Bash etc.) and programming in C/C++.
  • Overall understanding of digital IC design and development flow
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • B.Sc/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering or similar  

Some key personal skills include team collaboration, persistence, quality minded, problem solving, goal orientation, and drive.  You should also have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
