Data Science Intern

We are funding ecommerce entrepreneurs without taking equity: 
Ecommerce is booming. However, many players are still faced with two fundamental challenges – Accessing capital and strategically investing into growth. MXNEY uses live data insights to solve these challenges and provide ecommerce businesses with the ability and confidence to spend for growth through financing and dedicated growth support. We are a venture-backed startup that is passionate about helping ecommerce entrepreneurs succeed. You’ll be joining a fast-paced and collaborative team environment that is facing many exciting opportunities as we scale our business.

What will you do?
As a Data Science Intern, you will be an essential part of further developing our investment screening processes which lie at the core of our investment decisions and our company’s ultimate growth:  

• Build sales forecasting models to accurately forecast how ecommerce businesses are going to perform over the short and medium term.

• Work with marketing, sales and inventory data to evaluate the health of ecommerce businesses.

• Support the development of models to predict the likelihood of default of our customers.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as our programmers or product managers) to bring your work to action.

We are a small team and you will get the opportunity to shape your own workflows and make impactful decisions right from the start. The position is a full-time 3-month unpaid internship.

You…

• … must study/have studied or had experience in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or similar.

• … (preferably) have previous experience with Python for transforming data and building machine learning models and pipelines.

• … have previous experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.

• …are passionate about ecommerce and being part of a team building something new.

• …are ambitious, independent, and proactive.
