Corrosion Engineer for corrosion control of our offshore wind energy assets
Do you like the challenges of steel structures placed in a corrosive environment? And would you like to be part of the sustainable development of wind energy?

Join us and become our new Corrosion Engineer in Integrity within Structural Engineering where you’ll be responsible for engineering assessments in relation to corrosion on our existing structures. The department’s tasks cover the total design process for offshore structures within wind energy, from concept studies to final design. For existing structures, re-evaluations are made, such as life-time assessments or design of improvements, if necessary.

Your key tasks will be to

  • assess the corrosion state of our assets in operation and evaluate inspection findings
  • provide integrity evaluations on existing structures and perform data evaluation from measurements
  • provide recommendations for retrofits on our existing assets and be part of reassessments
  • conduct stakeholder management with our colleagues in Operations
  • provide coating specifications and assessments of both new and existing assets.

You’ll do this in close cooperation with our Senior Lead Corrosion Specialist, and with our structural and corrosion engineers.

Your competences include that you

  • have a master’s degree in engineering or material physics or other technical education at a similar level of relevance to corrosion
  • preferably have experience within steel structures in offshore environments
  • speak and write English fluently
  • thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.

Through your degree and your work experience, you understand the physical and chemical details of corrosion and corrosion protection, and you’re able to discuss the structural impacts from corrosion with the structural engineers. You’re dedicated to your work, produce precise documentation and you have good communication skills.
