For our Blade Integrity team we are looking for a highly skilled fleet and ambitious engineer. The Blade Integrity team works on cutting edge technology in an international environment. The job will expose the engineer to a wide range of tasks allowing personal and technical growth and achieving a deep understanding of wind turbine blades.The Blade Integrity team is part of the Blade Structural Design Department which is responsible for the design of new blades, development of core technologies, support to factories and warranty case handling.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Fleet inspections, reporting and analysis of findings and statistical treatment of data
  • Development of inspection, retrofit and repair methods
  • Root cause analysis and case handling in warranty cases
  • Support for blade operations
  • Carry-out field trials for new retrofit technologies
  • Contribute to technology development projects with regards to field solutions and blade monitoring
  • Proactively maintain interfaces with Product Integrity, Service Engineering and Quality management
  • Establish and maintain overview of all 8D CAPA cases handled in department

Travel activities on around 60 days a year must be expected

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have a MSc degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering and a solid understanding of the field of composites
  • You have 2 years of relevant experience - it will be an advantage if you have Field or Offshore experience
  • You have experience with FEM software
  • It will be an advantage if you have knowledge of data analysis/statistics and 8D CAPA training 
  • You are excited about the prospect of acquiring rope access training and are comfortable working at heights
  • You have a high appetite for traveling as part of the job
  • You have a structured approach to your work and are able to handle simultaneous assignments without losing the overview
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate your results in a clear and convincing manner.
  • You are able to work independently and you can drive your won assignments
  • You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
