Do you have a passion for sound, and are you ready to help define our audio solutions for the future?

Surrounding ourselves with state-of-the-art technologies, we never know what tomorrow brings. But we put our minds together to develop amazing audio products. In this brand-new position, you will gain a full overview of our audio system and play a key role in our Audio platform,” says Audio Engineering Manager Bjarke Heesche.

Join our skilled Audio Engineering unit
In the R&D Audio Engineering department, a part of GN Audio, we know sound. Here, all our state-of-the-art Jabra communication and music products are hatched. In the R&D Audio Engineering department, you will join more than 40 dedicated audio engineers who keep at the forefront of sound technology to develop innovative solutions that raise the bar for the power of sound.

The architect behind our audio platforms
As an audio DSP architect, you will play a key role in the development of one or more of our target platforms. Having a holistic overview of the technical possibilities as well as limitations of the platforms, you will be the go-to person for technical insight on the platform. Because this position is new, you will also play a part in shaping the role. We do imagine, however, that you will work at system level.

In your daily work, you will join a Scrum team working with one of our platforms and ensure that we maintain a similar structure across the platforms – while also understanding how they may differ from one another and why. When R&D brings forward a new audio concept, you will be the one to advise on how to integrate these new technologies into our platforms.

You will have the full system overview. While you may not do any programming yourself, you understand the discipline and will be the one to communicate the possibilities and challenges of the target platforms we work on,” Bjarke says.

System wiz with good communication skills
While you need to have a good understanding of audio systems and especially DSP, you are also able to maintain a holistic view and communicate possibilities and obstacles when colleagues come to you for advice.

  • You have a background within engineering, e.g. electrical engineering, computer science, acoustics, or DSP development
  • You have experience with C programming, and you have a good understanding of audio interfaces such as Bluetooth, USB, digital and analogue I/O, etc.
  • You speak and write English effortlessly
