Does embedded software and audio signal processing make you tick? And would you like to work on our next generation of hearing instruments and accessories and make a real difference to end users?

Then this is your chance to work in an agile environment where you become part of a social team and will have ample opportunity to grow and maybe even take on the role as technical lead in the future.

We know sound
At GN ReSound, we are known for great sound quality, design and technology excellence as well as meaningful solutions that help people with hearing challenges rediscover hearing.

ReSound, which is part of GN Hearing, was the first company launching a made-for-iPhone® hearing aid, and we are working on new and award-winning solutions. And at our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join our Algorithm Development team that works on low power processors for audio signal processing.

Create intelligent audio solutions
As Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software developer, you will be working cross-functionally, developing algorithms for various products as part of scrum-based teams. Working with researchers, audiologist and electro-acoustic colleagues, you participate in stand-up meetings, coordinate tasks and design interfaces as you create embedded software platforms for ultra-low power processors. Working on new algorithms as well as refine and improve existing ones, you use Matlab for adapting, optimizing and testing the firmware code you are writing along the way.

Help us make life sound better
In the Algorithm Development team, you will join 8 developers who welcome you to a project-oriented and agile work day. We are a social group aiming to have fun while emerging in our tasks. You will also be working closely with our sister team in the Netherlands and as such, you will be part of an international and dynamic work environment built on trust and openness. Lastly, as our team continues to grow, there is ample opportunity to develop.

Electrical engineer with flair for audio signal processing

  • You have a MSc in electrical engineering or similar
  • You have worked with audio signal processing and have a good understanding of:
o Linear, non-linear filtering and digital FIR/IIR design methods
o Adaptive systems and basic system identification methods (echo cancellation, beam forming, spatial preservation, noise control)
    o Dynamic range compression
o Speech enhancement and noise reduction methods (e.g. spectral subtraction)
  • You have experience in fixed point and floating-point DSP programming and have worked with Matlab, C and assembler - electro acoustics and/or psychoacoustics experience is an advantage
  • You thrive in an agile setting, and if you have a background as e.g. scrum master, this would be an added bonus
  • You speak, read and write English fluently

On a personal level, you enjoy working cross-functionally as part of multiple teams and have a natural flair for building good relations with your colleagues. You have a proactive approach to communication and a good sense of humor. With focus on achieving innovative and creative solutions with high quality, you challenge colleagues and managers on procedures when you see alternative solutions and room for improvement.
