We are looking for a talented Analog IC Designer to join the Silicon Engines department at Oticon, where we develop the chipsets used in our hearing instruments and accessories. The goal is to ensure technological leadership in our products by developing state-of-the-art innovative silicon solutions, featuring world-class performance in DSP processing power, audio quality, connectivity, artificial intelligence, and re-chargeability in smallest size and lowest power consumption.

Engineers in Denmark have ranked Oticon as the #1 electronics company to work in. We believe it is our innovative work environment. We develop best in class hearing solutions and try to bound the limits of what is possible at all. Oticon is a large, growing company in the medical-technical industry where our 600+ engineers are all committed to deliver high quality, high tech solutions for hearing impaired people worldwide.

Getting ready for the next generation
We are about to start the development of our next generation chipset, and we offer you the opportunity to put your mark on our analog circuits. We will be developing a wide range of new circuits and you will get to work on various types of circuits in a leading-edge process node. As Analog IC Designer here at Oticon you will take part in all phases of the development - from specification, schematic design and circuit layout, to verification of the fabricated ICs. You will also get to interface with our digital IC designers and firmware developers.

You will be part of the Analog IC Design team, where we are responsible for all the analog IC design that goes into our hearing aids. Your colleagues are looking forward to welcoming you to a highly skilled and experienced team with a positive and encouraging work environment. We all strive for an open and supportive way of working where sharing knowledge and ideas is highly valued. You will be working in an international company, with ample opportunity for professional and personal development. You will be part of a dynamic environment built on trust and openness. And - most important - you will be able to influence and leave your fingerprints on our products.

To develop the world’s best hearing aids, it is necessary to adapt and optimize all components from the ground up. That is why IC design is a core competence at Oticon. We place emphasis on a professional and innovative working environment. Continuous development of your technical skills by attending technical courses and conferences on the latest developments in the field is part of this.

Professional skills
You have either a M.Sc. or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization within analog IC designer and 5+ years of industry experience. Still, we are also open to meet motivated and engaged graduates with 1-2 years of work experience for this position.

As we work with a wide range of circuit types, including but not limited to circuits for audio processing, data converters, biosensor interfaces, power management circuits, voltage and current references, we expect you to have experience within some or all these areas - in addition to strong transistor level design skills.

Furthermore, knowledge within the following areas is considered a plus:

  • Low-voltage and low power circuit design
  • Audio signal processing
  • Mixed-signal IC-design
  • High-level system design
  • RF IC-design

Experience with device validation and measurement techniques is required and you should be familiar with working in a Linux/Unix environment. If you have experience with audio signal processing, mixed-signal IC design, high-level system design, or RF IC design this is considered a plus.

Personal skills
You should be a strong team player and able to work in a self-driven environment based on freedom with responsibility. You have a sense for detail while still being able to maintain an overview and meet your deadlines. You take pride in delivering high quality solutions to the tasks you are given, have a positive attitude and - of course - are passionate about analog IC design.

Want to join the team?
Then send your application via our electronical recruitment system. We do not accept applications via email. Deadline for applications is 4 March 2019.
