All round Systems Developer with flair for good user interfaces

  • Clinical Development
  • Denmark - Måløv

Can you convert business needs for data-enabled processes and reporting to user friendly tools and solutions? Do you see yourself supporting cross-functional data and IT projects with different stakeholders within the organisation? And are you motivated by driving changes and optimisation?

Then you are a candidate for our vacant position in Clinical Supplies Business and IT Support (CSBITS).

As our new systems developer in CSBITS you will maintain existing tools and support the development of our IT system landscape in Clinical Supplies (CS). You will be a key person in understanding our systems and data for the clinical supply chain in close cooperation with one other systems developer and a solution architect.

About the department
CS is responsible for filling, planning, packing and delivering supplies for the clinical trials in Novo Nordisk.

CSBITS is a department of 16 colleagues who work across CS. We carry out strategic projects and analyses that aim at increasing the efficiency of the clinical supply chain. We work analytically and data based and support CS Management with decision support and solutions. We are responsible for a number of IT systems used for supply chain management e.g. for simulation of demand in clinical trials, pack and distribution planning, handling of production execution and of inventory management and planning of clinical trial activities.

The position
Our ambition is to improve the use and integration of our IT systems to reduce manual operations and improve quality. To do this, we need you to have a deep understanding of our systems and tools, their data and their capabilities enabling us to release the full potential in optimising our processes. You will maintain and develop existing tools ranging from relatively simple Excel-solutions through Access databases to .NET based applications with SQL Server. In projects with external vendors you will support and challenge our vendors.

Furthermore, you will use your system and data knowledge to support the business with ad hoc data queries from the systems. During authority inspections, or in case of quality issues, this will be under pressure, with limited time and ultimate demands regarding the quality of the output as patient safety or company reputation can be at stake.

Qualifications
You hold an academic degree (BSc or MSc) in Engineering, IT or similar and have several years of experience working with IT and business processes. You have general programming competencies on Windows and you are proficient in SQL (we use T-SQL and PL/SQL).

You have a solid analytical foundation that you apply in your work and have an interest in collaborating with colleagues and knowledge sharing. You must be fluent in both English and a Scandinavian language.

On a personal level you thrive from helping colleagues, you work independently, deliver high quality, keep calm and focused under pressure and keep deadlines. You take an interest in the business and you understand how the tools you implement support the business processes.

Preferably you also have experience with the .NET framework and C# as well as VBA.

You have a mind for user interface design, but also feel comfortable working on the backend. It is also an advantage if you have supply chain experience and a background in the pharmaceutical industry with GxP experience.

Working at Novo Nordisk
At Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to build a life-changing career in a global business environment. From research and development to manufacturing, marketing and sales, we strive to improve quality of life for more than 366 million people living with diabetes.
