The story of TimeXtender Software began in 2006 when founders Thomas Christiansen and Heine Krog Iversen decided to tackle the common challenge: why BI tools were complex, slow and often required vast knowledge of how to write code. On the basis of the thought ”If we can’t buy it, we can build it”, the two combined their knowledge - Thomas’ of developing IT systems and Heine’s of sales and business management – and shortly after, TimeXtender came to life.

The road from idea to successful business was far from smooth. But through dedication and perseverance, sometimes taking two steps forwards and one step back, they succeeded, and TimeXtender is now the world-leading software vendor for metadata-driven and agile Data Warehouse Automation platform dedicated to the Microsoft platform. With customers and partners in more than 60 countries and more than 2.600 customers relying on the TimeXtender’s Data Warehouse Automation software every day, the success is hard to ignore.

In 2013, the company suffered the devastating loss of founder Thomas Christiansen but turned loss into strength as Paw Kyhl Jensen, who had been with the company from the beginning except for a brief six-month break in 2012, rejoined the company to continue Thomas’ hard work and take the TimeXtender R&D department to the next level.
