Om Centre for Oil and Gas - DTU

The partners in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) have entered into an agreement to finance the Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre at DTU, which is to be established and run at DTU. Once fully commissioned, the centre will employ around 100 people and will be linked to research groups from partner institutions including the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and the Geological Survey of Greenland and Denmark (GEUS).

The goal of the research centre is to provide the framework for international research and to lay the foundations for relevant, research-based study programmes with the potential to support interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research programmes. The overarching purpose is to identify new technological and conceptual solutions that boost oil and gas extraction in the Danish section of the North Sea
