MAN Diesel | PrimeServ is a fast-paced unit with an informal atmosphere where focus is on customers and performance. You will be a part of the MAN Diesel & Turbo Supply Chain Management team servicing international customers mainly within the marine industry.
 
To secure our future growth according to a clear strategy and strong customer focus we are looking for a Demand Planner. This is a highly visible supply chain role that will perform and improve the Demand Planning processes. You can look forward to a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing demand plan and inventory strategies that will enable MAN Diesel & Turbo to meet sales and service objectives.
 
Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, production, sourcing, master planning and sales teams is essential to achieve these sales and service objectives.
 
Job responsibilities:
As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for generating statistical forecasts on product and group level. Facilitating and implementing market input from Sales into the forecast is an important part of the role. Furthermore, you will act as driver in selected supply chain projects where process improvement and cost savings initiatives are key.
 
Main responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for your own portfolio of products and sales units.
  • Develop forecasts and demand plans at different levels of aggregation
  • Ensure correct forecast and alignment on SKU and product group levels
  • Proactively facilitating Demand Review meetings and forecast consensus for market input from different sales units
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets
  • Develop processes, best practices and tools for demand planning tasks
  • Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) as approved by management
  • Ensure correct MRP Profile assignment and stocking levels according to policies agreed with sales units
  • Monitoring inventory service levels and root cause analysis for out-of-stock and implementing actions for correction
  • Creation and maintenance of reports, analysis and overviews to recommend and facilitate decision making
  • Support processes of S&OP, Capacity Planning and New Product Introduction
  • Coordinate, drive and support selected projects within Demand Planning and Supply Chain areas

Profile / Qualifications:

  • The position has a wide range of stakeholders to interact with and is an excellent opportunity for a person with the right combination of analytical and verbal skills.
  • Master’s degree - Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics or similar
  • 2+ years related experience in demand or supply planning
  • Proficient in IT. Excel user at a high level is expected
  • Preferably experience in SAP APO  as we are implementing Demand Planning APO
  • SQL knowledge and databases is an advantage
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with practical business acumen
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • English language at a high level - spoken and written is a must. Danish is an advantage.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent thinker, problem solver accompanied with a sense of urgency
