Sourcing Contract Manager responsible for CAPEX contracts for our offshore wind projects

Join us as Sourcing Contract Manager and become part of our great team of professional contract managers in the department Component & Civil Works, where you and your colleagues will be responsible for CAPEX procurement and contract management of high voltage electrical components, SCADA and civil works contracts for our offshore wind farm projects. As Sourcing Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the tender process from sourcing strategy to signed contract, being the commercial glue between technical and legal matters. You will create value through close relations with your internal and external stakeholders.
 
Component & Civil Works is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind farms, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind farm projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.
 
You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.
 
Your key tasks will be to

• manage the sourcing process until the signing of CAPEX contracts
• reduce both internal and external transaction costs
• improve processes and introduce industry best practice
• drive the commercial agenda
• handle internal and external stakeholder management
• lead contract negotiations with the bidders.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

• have a proven record of procurement of CAPEX contracts
• have experience in public procurement and EU tender law
• have knowledge of supply or construction contracts, preferably FIDIC in EPC projects, and experience with collaborating efficiently with many stakeholders from other in-house functions
• have a cross-disciplinary background based on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, law or engineering and commercial contract experience from procurement or sales
• speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to convey your messages to your stakeholders efficiently, thereby ensuring maximum collaboration
• have a positive and result-oriented approach to your tasks, and that your preferred way of working is structured and analytical.
