Would you like to help us ensure quality, efficiency and continuous development within wind power by building grid connections for our offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Electrical Engineer in Offshore Transformers & HV Components, where you and your colleagues will work with the HV equipment on offshore substations. Together with your ten colleagues, you will represent electrical engineering in our wind projects. We are responsible for planning, designing and purchasing components, eg switchgears, transformers and reactive compensation for our offshore substations wind farms. Preferably, you will be based at one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or alternatively at our London office in the United Kingdom on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling to our sites in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe in relation to your work.

Your key tasks will be to

  • coordinate tasks with project participants and suppliers of high-voltage components
  • carry out QA and ensure project compliance with time schedules and budgets, including following up on project progress
  • specify technical requirements for substation components in tender documents, evaluate tenders and enter into contracts with our suppliers
  • coordinate supplies and systems during the planning and design periods and evaluate substation designs
  • participate in FAT and SAT and final commissioning of the substations.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with specialisation in the field of high-voltage
  • have relevant working experience, including technology specification for 150kV-400 kV substations
  • speak and write English fluently as we are an international organisation and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad
  • have an extrovert personality and thrive in a team as you will perform cross-disciplinary work and cooperate with colleagues and external business partners
  • have a personal drive combined with both an analytical and a responsible approach to your work
  • enjoy sharing your knowledge with both your colleagues in the project group and the entire department.

We offer
A unique and challenging job in an international energy company as part of a dynamic department at the forefront of offshore wind power development. We provide high-quality grid connection solutions, and you will have the opportunity to spar with experienced colleagues in an informal atmosphere.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world’s largest offshore wind projects and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
