For our Loads and Control Department we are looking for a Project Manager, who is dedicated to the development of our future products and technologies. The Loads and Control Department is responsible for design, validation and certification of wind turbine loads, control systems, control features, condition monitoring systems and sensor/servo performance. The candidate for this position will be responsible for project management of R&D activities including: new product development, new technology development and development of design and analysis tools.
 
As R&D Project Manager you will be part of a dynamic team of committed project managers and highly skilled engineers with expertise in aero-elasticity, control systems, structural dynamics, systems engineering and mechanical design.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Manage and execute product development projects from scoping/conceptualization through detailed design, validation, certification, documentation and hand over to our market units.
  • Manage and execute technology development projects from idea generation until technology validation including development of design tools and test methods.
  • Manage the project team(s) involved, ensuring their deliveries are in sync with project plan timelines, defined milestones, and always in compliance with Siemens Wind Power standards.
  • Coordinate with our key stakeholders in Structural Design, Software, Product Platform Management, Product Lifecycle Management and Service.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have a technical engineering degree, M.Sc. with 2+ years of professional experience with project management.
  • You have fundamental project management skills and a proven track record in a product or technology development environment. Experience within Wind Power is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You have experience in managing development projects with a large number of stakeholders involved - internally and externally.
  • You are structured, development oriented, open for change, outgoing and have strong communication skills.
  • You possess excellent cross-functional and interdisciplinary skills.
