Electrical Engineer, Siemens Wind Power Service (Technology)

The Electrical team in the Service Technology department develops engineering solutions to the fleet of high performance technology wind turbines. As an Electrical Engineer in this team you will be able to highly influence the solutions chosen and of your own career.

What are my responsibilities?
Your main tasks will be to drive technical projects, which includes:

  • Running international technology projects within the electrical area
  • Developing solutions and design changes for electrical issues on the global fleet of turbines
  • Planning and executing tests and validation of new components
  • Maintaining a close dialogue with internal and external customers about ongoing service projects
  • Gathering and analyzing data in order to find the root cause of a defect

Travel activity of 20 days per year as a minimum must be expected. This includes site-visits and visits in the different regional offices around the world.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have an education as Electrical Engineer and 5 years of experience with error detection and problem solving of electrical control systems
  • You are familiar with different techniques such as root cause analyses and data analyses
  • You have a strong drive and are motivated by delivering high quality results. Your approach to tasks is systematic, analytical and project-oriented
  • You thrive in an international organization and are able to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders from different organizational levels. This means both working with the service engineers on the different sites and presenting solutions to the senior management
  • You have good English skills, both orally and in writing
