About the Company and Department
Are you looking for new challenges as Department Manager in an international environment? Then this position might be something for you!

The department has six employees in Aalborg, responsible for the technical quotation of repair jobs for marine boilers and thermal fluid systems. The department is working closely together with the Alfa Laval sales companies and is securing technical support and quotation to sales companies within the sub-region.

Main responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to manage the daily operation and development of the Repair department.

  • Leading and managing the Repair department through customer focused leadership
  • People Management according to Alfa Laval values and processes
  • Constantly optimize processes and quality according to Alfa Laval standards
  • Elaborate Action Plans for the sub-region and ensure communication and coordination
  • Support Repair team/ Alfa Laval Sales Companies with commercial and technical knowledge
  • Support Sales management to increase the cooperation with Alfa Laval Sales Companies and indirectly the order intake

Travel activity must be expected, and is estimated to 20-25 days/year.

Your profile and competences

  • Academic degree in Engineering, Marine Engineer or similar technical skills
  • Organizational understanding
  • Proven technical management experience
  • Manage situational leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Customer-oriented team player with a good cultural understanding
  • Good understanding of the maritime business

As a Department Manager, you support and encourage both others’ and own ideas, and are good at assessing technical issues. You are flexible and thrive on having many tasks at the same time. Further, you are able to maintain overview and take action, and can adapt to a fast changing international environment.

You are driven by sales and business development, and are open to new approaches in the way of working. Your approach to leadership is focusing on creating high performance in a customer-oriented culture, based on your own team player competences.
