Team Lead, Electrical Engineering Management

We are looking for a Team Lead to manage our team of Electrical Engineering Managers and to strengthen our project driven engineering activities. The goal is to be excellent in engineering project management leading to outstanding customer satisfaction.
 
The Offshore Electrical Engineering team plays the key role in relation to the electrical package all the way from project acquisition to final hand over to our customers. We master the overview and the details, and at the same time we bridge to tomorrow’s technologies and methodologies.
 
What are my responsibilities?
As Team Lead for our Electrical Engineering Managers, you will be managing our team of highly skilled and experienced project managers within the offshore power systems, and you will ensure that we have the competences and capacity required for best in class execution of our project portfolio. In addition you will utilize your own project management skills executing project activities within our growing portfolio.
 
More specifically, your assignments will cover:

• Manage a team of approx. 10 Electrical Engineering Managers, and ensure continuous development of the individuals and the team
• Provide transparency and ensure that  we have the competences and capacity required to execute the project portfolio
• Responsible for continuous development and improvement of processes, methods and documentation required to ensure efficient and Best practice Project management
• Participate in cross functional improvement initiatives, such as setting up and securing development of project management skills across the teams of project managers
• Execution of own projects, ensuring the project deliverables are provided on time, on budget and at agreed quality
• Contribute in improving project measures and delivering reporting to senior management
• Participate in developing our technical areas of competences with the purpose of expanding our business
• Participate in securing high maturity in our development processes and faster time-to-market and thereby contributing in bringing down Cost of Energy

 
What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have a B.Sc.EE or M.Sc.EE (electrical power systems) or similar combined with +5 years of relevant experience from engineering  projects, preferably within wind turbines, grid, substation, power plant, consultancy or similar
• You hold a solid experience as a project manager, driving complex projects in a dynamic and global environment
• You have a strong personality and your management style enables you to motivate and establish strong cooperative relations in an organization
• You have a great drive and are motivating and engaging in your management style and you have a burning desire for continued development of both your team and company
• You have a positive attitude and you are committed, flexible and diplomatic, enabling you to work with colleagues from multiple cultures in a large international organization.
• Furthermore, you are fluent in written and spoken English
• And most of all, you love the fun and challenges by building the largest wind farms in the world.
