Become part of the patent team in Kamstrup
As part of the IP team in Kamstrup you will work closely together with both internal and external stakeholders in order to provide the IP services necessary to secure Kamstrup’s investment in new technologies. Our new Patent Engineer will take on an important role in managing IP activities for Kamstrup’s new innovative products and in building and maintaining Kamstrup’s patent portfolio. More specifically, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Take an active role in R&D projects to ensure freedom to operate for our future products
• Monitor and evaluate competitor IP activities
• Identify new inventions, prepare patentability opinions and devise protection strategies
• Create valuable IP assets by drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Participate in the future development and implementation of an active IP strategy 
• Assist in ensuring a high level of IP awareness across the organization.

Personality matters
We expect that you have a technical background, for example as engineer, and that you have worked within the patent area for at least 2-3 years.  Most importantly, you are able to understand complex, technical ideas, and have an understanding of the business aspects related to patents.
In order to succeed you must have a strong analytical and structured mindset and be capable of prioritizing in order to meet deadlines. It is crucial that you are dedicated, proactive and that you are able to identify and explore opportunities. Furthermore, you have great interpersonal skills as you will be working closely with several stakeholders.
In addition, you have business acumen and is capable of working independently on allocated tasks with a strong sense of responsibility. Being able to ask questions when available information is insufficient is also of great importance.

You refuse to compromise on the quality in your work and hence you have high demands for both yourself and others. You are ready to make a difference in your daily work and you take pride in working with professional solutions distributed worldwide.

You are fluent in English - both oral and written. Danish is an asset.
