Electrical or SW Engineer interns

Do you want to combine your theoretical knowledge within electrical engineering with practical experience, and are you at a stage in your education where an internship is planned?
 
Join us and become intern in the Electrical and SCADA department which is responsible for the integrity of all electrical HV, LV and SW installations on our operational wind farms in Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom. We are involved in all the integrity issues in the fleet, and specify the preventive maintenance which are to be carried out.
 
We are looking for three interns to be a part of our Electrical and SCADA department during fall 2016.
If you are studying electrical or SW engineering, have a high personal drive and a passion for wind energy, then DONG Energy is the place for you.
 
The Electrical and SCADA department is divided into three main technical areas, and we are looking for an intern within each area. The areas are:

• SCADA systems and network
• HV and cables
• Wind turbine electricals

 
You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the greater Copenhagen area. However, if you are to work with the wind turbine electrical area you can choose to be based in Skærbæk near Fredericia.
 
Your key tasks will be to

• assist our engineers in failure root causes analysis
• collect data and make technical analysis based on these
• structure and organise information and make it easy accessible
• handle technical case management including supplier communication.

 
The technical content of your tasks will depend on which technical area that you will be working for.
 
Your qualifications and core competences include that you

• are studying to become an electrical or SW engineer and if you have any practical experience within your field of study it is an advantage
• have an interest in working with and learning more about offshore wind power and specifically about the HW and SW that carry the electricity to the grid
• have a positive attitude, a large drive, and are eager to learn
• are able to focus on a specific task for a longer period, and show good skills within document structure when delivering an assignment.
