The job 
We’re recruiting an experienced software developer for our site in Odense, who has a great desire to use acquired professional competencies to strengthen our Software Development Team within the R&D Organization. 

We develop state-of-the-art technology through innovative skills and professional project management, and you will be working in a team of enthusiastic and motivated team players. You will work on our SW architecture and develop new generations as well as maintain old generations of our SW. Consolidation of platforms for various types of machinery and uniforming of versions across user scenarios will be your key task. 

All tasks require you to analyze and come up with solutions to problems of varying complexity. Since you work in our R&D team, it’s important that you can work creatively while also following a structured development process.

Specific tasks
You will be working with C++ development within robotics-like scenarios, using 3D graphics programming to achieve ambitious goals.

Specific tasks include: 

  • Contribute to all aspects of the SDLC (software development lifecycle) from design and specification to testing and documentation 
  • Work with object oriented programming and software architecture 
  • Follow agreed architectural goals and guidelines, and an agile development processes 
  • Seek and use best practice methodologies and tools to deliver software to the required standards and to the highest possible speed of development 
  • SW development utilizing Linux, GIT, QT, Boost and STL, OpenGL and 3D graphics programming 
  • Provide input and recommendations into technical decision making and development direction 
  • Responsibility for ongoing maintenance & improvement of the associated development environment 

Your profile 
With a degree in engineering or computer science your colleagues and leaders probably say that you have a high technical knowledge and a strong personal drive. You have a systematic and result-oriented approach to your work, and this makes you a person who succeeds. You are capable of working focused and independently within the given framework, as well as performing well in collaboration across the organization. You take responsibility for your assignments, are quality-conscious and meet your deadlines. 

You either have 5+ years’ experience in a role as C++ developer within robotics or 3D graphics programming or you’re a major talent recently graduated with a high interest in machine control/robotics. You hold an academic degree in engineering or computer science and you are passionate about software development. You have a strong technical knowledge and you easily familiarize with new technologies.

You already master several of the following relevant technologies and skills: 

  • Object oriented programming and Software Architecture 
  • Linux 
  • GIT 
  • QT, Boost and STL 
  • OpenGL, linear algebra and vector math 
  • Knowledge in robotics and surveying will be considered an advantage
