Research Scientist

For our Microbial Service department in the Culture and Enzymes Division in Hørsholm, we are looking for a dedicated research scientist.
We are expanding and therefore looking for an independent and highly skilled scientist for the area of microbial method development and validation.
 
The Microbial Service department is part of the Innovation organisation at Chr. Hansen. One of our main focuses is to contribute to new product development with the development and validation of relevant analytical methods. You will become part of a department where we have a strong team spirit and aim for scientific excellence to provide high value to our customers.
 
Your tasks
Within the area of method development and validation your main tasks are:
 

• Validation and documentation of methods
• Qualification of equipment
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and contribute to experiments
• Contribute to larger projects as well as ad hoc tasks
• Work with stakeholders throughout Chr. Hansen to ensure high quality microbial analysis for all our products

 
Your personal profile

• The position is open for experienced scientists with a strong track record
• You have solid knowledge of microbiology
• Your experience includes analysis of organisms relevant for the culture industry (dairy, probiotic, wine…)
• You have experience with quality assurance, handling of deviations and GMP
• You ideally have experience with automation of methods and/or novel methods for evaluating the performance of relevant cultures
• You have a strong theoretical background, but also good experience from working in the laboratory
• Able to structure many tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with excellent ability to communicate in English, both in writing and orally
