Would you like to lead the quality improvement of the electrical package of our offshore wind farms during development and construction?

Join us and become electrical project quality specialist in the Wind Power Quality department which is overall responsible for the quality of our construction projects. You will become part of a team of project quality managers and project quality coordinators focused on improving the quality of our projects.

As project quality specialist for the electrical package, you will be assigned to one of our major construction projects supporting the electrical package manager in overseeing the quality assurance and the quality control of the project. You will also be in charge of defining the standard for quality assurance and quality control activities for the electrical package across all projects. In this capacity, you will support your colleagues and ensure effective lessons learnt sharing across our portfolio.

Wind Power Quality Management is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Your key duties will be to

  • act as project quality coordinator for the electrical package for one of our construction projects
  • develop quality activity schedules for the electrical package and align priorities with the project manager
  • participate in kick-off meetings with the suppliers and define the framework for quality assurance and control activities
  • review key documents submitted by the supplier, for example the project quality plan, the inspection and test plan, the audit programme and the NCR procedure
  • monitor key installation and commissioning activities onsite.

In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and describing the key quality assurance and the quality control tasks and processes for the electrical package. You will be responsible for aligning and coordinating with peers in a similar role in other constructions projects to ensure that best practices are shared and implemented in a consistent matter in all construction projects.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have an electrical engineering degree
  • have formal training or a certification within quality management
  • have at least five years of relevant experience with construction projects
  • have experience with quality management and/or project management.

We are intensifying our focus on quality and nonconformity reporting. It is therefore important that you have experience with management of nonconformities during project execution. You will be acting as the quality ambassador within the electrical package, and you will also be acting as quality consultant vis-à-vis your colleagues.

We offer
A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you help to carry out some of the world's largest offshore wind projects. You will play a key role in setting the quality direction and ambition for the electrical package of construction projects.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
