Research Director

We now seek a Research Director with the responsibility to develop and lead the research work for the Ecophon Group. 
 
Tasks and responsibilities
You will directly supervise a team of researchers developing core Ecophon technologies such as lamination, gluing, veil, painting, acoustic properties, and, jointly with ISOVER, supervise the work of the technical team in charge of developing acoustic baseboards. You will have direct responsibility over all research resources in the above areas. You will develop research programs in coordination with other research centers within the Saint-Gobain group. 
 
As Research Director Ecophon Group, you will report to the President of the Ecophon Group and be part of the Ecophon Management Team. The position is based at the Head office of Ecophon in Hyllinge, Sweden. 
 
Profile 
Your educational background is a PhD in Engineering/Physics/Materials science/Applied mathematics. You have a proved scientific experience and advanced knowledge in material technology and processes, mechanics, material science, building physics and applied mathematics. Some background in acoustics and chemistry is also a plus. You have strong management skills with capability to motivate and drive your team. A strong ability to communicate, support and engage various stakeholders, both internal and external is also important. 
 
Excellent analytical and strategic skills are also required. You are fluent in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
