- In an international project oriented company

Do you have experience with completing tender and contractual documentation and would you thrive working in an international, growing and dynamic company based in Allerød? We are currently looking for a Civil Works Contracts Manager to manage all tendering, cost and measurements relating to our civil and building works contracts.

The position
The position as Civil Works Contracts Manager will be based in our Civil Works department, which currently consists of 7 employees. The Civil Works Contract Manager will refer to the Department Manager.

The assignments will primarily consist of completing tender and contractual documentation as well as follow-up on construction activities, cost and progress on our sites.

Typical activities throughout the stages can include:

  • Plan and arrange pre-tender meetings and contacts to local building contractors and suppliers
  • Preparing tender and contract documents based on FIDIC conditions
  • Preparing bills of quantities based on CESSM3 & SMM7
  • Assisting our purchasing department in the preparation of Design-built/-supply contracts
  • Participate in contract negotiation meetings
  • Set in motion geotechnical investigations and topographic surveys on site
  • Provide continuous measurements, budgets and cost reports associated with the performance of the contractor’s and the progress of the works activities
  • Analysing and developing responses to contractor’s claim and variation submissions
  • Identifying and developing responses to commercial risks associated with the execution of the works
  • Responding to enquiries and questions from sites and contractors
  • Review and agree contractor’s monthly valuations and issue payment certificates
  • Developing and maintaining a network of advisors, contractors and suppliers

Qualifications
You are probably a Civil Engineer or Quantity Surveyor, or you have equivalent industrial experience. It would be desirable if you:

  • Have at least 7 years experience with cost and contract management of industrial building projects as contractor or advisor to the client
  • Have experience with cost and contract management of international building projects including management of subcontracts
  • Have experience with preparing tender and contract documents based on FIDIC conditions and/or similar international general conditions of construction
  • Have strong numeracy and commercial management skills and the ability to learn complex design 
  • Have the ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way 
  • Have strong negotiating and team-working skills
  • Are proficient in spoken and written English

Furthermore, it would be an advantage if you have experience in the field of mechanical and electrical installations.

We offer an interesting job with great challenges in a dynamic and consolidated company. The position offers overseas travel of up to 40 days a year. The salary will be according to qualifications.
