The Senior Systems Engineer is expected to have a solid understanding of 4G LTE protocol stack.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer at Radiocomp will become a part of an energetic, engaged and professional team aiming at becoming the global leading supplier of Remote Radio Heads for cellular and broadband communication systems. Our customers are global and we have a close collaboration with one of the biggest manufacturers in the world for mobile network communications. Radiocomp is part of MTI that are located in three sites in Taiwan, US and Denmark with headquarter in Taiwan. MTI is partly owned by Foxconn that is the world’s largest contract manufacturer. Through this ownership, we have a significant global R&D network and an international atmosphere.

As a Senior Systems Engineer in this position, you will be technical lead for Wireless 5G Fronthaul architecture and implementation in collaboration with Foxconn’s research team in Taipei. The 5G Fronthaul design and implementation covers a wide range of technologies. The nature of the business requires an in depth knowledge of LTE, associated network technologies and protocols. It is expected that there is some travel activities to work with the Foxconn team in Taipei.
 
The Systems Engineering group in MTI Mobile (which the Systmes Engineer refer to) consists of a highly skilled team distributed in the US and Denmark. Competences are in 5G network research. The Senior Systems Engineer contributes and has technical lead for 5G Fronthaul architecture. You will strive to deliver best quality and continuously improve state of the art within the 5G research.
You will be reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager.

Main tasks

• Participate in research on 5G Fronthaul architecture and implementation
  o    Top-level 5G Fronthaul architecture
  o    Partitioning of functionality between BBU and RRH
  o    Clock synchronization

Education skills required
Technical:

• Main areas: 
  o    Solid understanding of entire LTE stack
  o    Familiar with mobile system and network architecture
        (LTE, IP networking) 
  o    Familiar with system analysis/simulation with Matlab is
        required 
  o    Extensive knowledge of radio communication theory are
        required
