For our Offshore Engineering unit, we are looking for a strong Engineering Manager to take responsibility for the rotor/nacelle delivery in our execution projects. The Engineering Manager will have the primary responsibility in our project organization for managing contracts technically and commercially during the delivery phase. This will entail taking the leading role in all phases from configuration, project specific design, certification, documentation, manufacturing, pre-assembly trough to installation and commissioning. The role is also expected to include project management responsibilities in cross functional projects and involve working directly with clients, joint venture partners and other external stakeholders.

What are my responsibilities?
You will disciplinary report to Head of RNA Technology but functionally work on projects, assuming the role of Engineering Manager, where you will manage a sub package team and refer to the WTG Package Manager. While having the leading role in execution of the supply contract for rotor/nacelle assembly with both internal and external partners, your responsibilities and duties will also include:

  • Maintain time schedule and budget for the sub-package
  • Ensure interdisciplinary coordination between sub-packages
  • Attend procurement procedures and contracts within the sub-package
  • Ensure overall engineering of the sub-package including the installation concept
  • Work/quayside delivery including installation documentation
  • Resource allocation within the sub-package group in cooperation with the project manager and line management
  • Describe standard for preparation of documentation
  • Proactive approach to knowledge sharing

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a BSc or MSc in mechanical, construction, civil, manufacture or offshore engineering
  • You are used to handle many different stakeholders and interfaces
  • As a person you are proactive with a detail and process-oriented mindset
  • Preferably, you have relevant experience from offshore or the wind industry
  • You are able to work in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
  • Danish language skills would be an advantage
