Would you like to help champion the Choke Model and be our corporate expert and resource?

Join us and become Production Management Lead in the Production Management Team. It is a small, newly formed team located within the Subsurface department, reporting to the Production Technology Manager. The team will be responsible for aligning technical and reporting issues related to production management across all the group's Exploration & Production assets in active cooperation with the Exploration & Production Finance department.

The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline.

You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
As Exploration & Production is embarking on a structured implementation of the 'Choke Model', you must be able to champion the standard Choke Model approach once implementation and training has been completed, and demonstrate expert understanding of the processes involved. You will also be responsible for building credibility as a corporate expert and resource and reviewing the effectiveness of current procedures and the people who undertake them with a view to recommending changes and/or appropriate training. Additionally, you will be responsible for facilitating workshops, peer assist events and engaging external expertise to expand corporate capabilities, ensuring technical quality and driving results.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • develop, maintain and enable application of standards and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality production data forecasting as well as high-quality collection and reporting of production data
  • champion the integration of production data into process optimisation (Choke Model)
  • liaise with Exploration & Production Finance on reporting issues (CSR reporting; reporting of production data)
  • liaise with assets across Exploration & Production (forecasting principles; production efficiency measures)
  • collect and distribute data as a service to the organisation and to facilitate consolidated external reporting.

Your profile
You have an engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience within production management/production engineering from an operating company, as well as technical experience from exploration and production working with production data.

You should have a broad understanding of the upstream exploration and production business, a detailed knowledge of the Choke Model (or similar). We also expect you to have a good knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting procedures, preferably using energy components from Tieto, and a good knowledge of metering and allocation. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.

Furthermore, you have good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. On a personal level, you are enthusiastic and motivated as well as able to exercise influence and effectively engage relevant stakeholders.

We offer
A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills.

In DONG Energy Exploration & Production, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and innovatively with our projects with a high focus on safety. Working for us, you will be close to the decision-making processes.
