Service Manager for VRU’s, Cool Sorption AS

Since its founding in 1982, Cool Sorption AS (CS), based in Glostrup, Copenhagen, has focused exclusively on VOC emission abatement technology and has developed into a leading player in the business. CS is a global centre of excellence for the recovery of environmentally hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOC). We supply vapour recovery units (VRU) for the recovery of gasoline, crude oil and other hydrocarbon vapours, onshore as well as offshore. Cool Sorption is part of Fjords Processing and fully owned by Akastor, a stock-listed company on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In order to succeed in the role of being our new Service Manager, you will have a great influence on our After Sales activities and therefore secure the continuous quality of our products.You will be a significant key player in the future VRU-market.

Your leadership skills are strong, and you thrive on working with skilled individuals and developing the team in unity, to an even higher level. Your consider yourself an inspiring and motivating leader, who manages well at a close range as well as from a distance - your employees travel the world and you having experienced some of their diverse working environments as well as being prepared to get a little grease on your hands yourself, is considered a plus. 

Accountabilities

• Establish targets, actions and reporting to drive the development of the Service business
• Financial and operational responsibility for the services business including: spare parts, services, service agreements, and non-engineered upgrades
• Assist expedition and resolution of warranty claims
• Participate in building and maintaining customer relationships for assigned region/market
• Leadership responsibility for the Service team
• Health, Safety and Environment for the Service operations
• Ensure services are executed in an efficient way and at a high level of quality acceptable to our clients
• Be part of the Cool Sorption Management Team
• Develop cost and price calculations for proposals
• Communicate with other departments (Procurement, Engineering, LCS, Finance and Projects) to secure the right input to tenders and provide feedback from VRU plants in operation
• Financial and operational reporting
• Drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Hold a BSc or MSc in engineering or other, relevant, commercial education
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas aftermarket segment
• Experience from a leadership position, showing positive results in making a team succeed
• Fluent in English language, orally and written
