Hardware Engineer for Space Projects

Due to an increase in our project activities our space development group is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Hardware Engineer.

SSBV-Rovsing provides state of the art test and simulation systems for on-ground testing of satellites. These systems enable a satellite manufacturer to test a satellite before all parts are available as non-existing parts are replaced by our equipment and interface simulators. In addition, we provide equipment for simulation of satellite interface behaviour, which can be useful during development of satellite payloads. All our systems are built to very high safety and quality standards.

You will be part of our project teams where your primary responsibilities will be hardware design, development, integration and test.

The ideal candidate is a hardware engineer with several years of experience in hardware development. The candidate shall be able to participate in configuration and development efforts and contribute to the whole hardware life-cycle from analysis to design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance. The successful candidate will be given responsibility over major components of our hardware solutions and new projects in collaboration with management and team colleagues. The candidate shall be able to operate independently, be able to meet agreed deadlines and be pro-active in sharing knowledge with colleagues and in addressing potential project risks.

We are looking for

Primary Technical Profile

• M.Sc or B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years relevant working experience in the field of Hardware Design and Development
• Solid hands-on hardware experience with discrete and power electronics, including design, manufacturing, assembly, integration and test on both unit and system level
• Solid experience in analysing, designing and implementing efficient solutions when presented with an requirement specification
• Hands-on experience with OrCAD Schematic Capture and PSpice or similar tools
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
• Capable of thoroughly documenting your work

Secondary Technical Profile

• Experience with development of both digital and analogue hardware
• Experience with design for EMC and safety
• Knowledge about Hardware Description Language
• Knowledge about the Space or Aerospace Industry
