Versatile Software Engineer for Medical Device Development

At RSP Systems A/S, we are developing a truly non-invasive blood glucose meter based on optical technology (Raman spectroscopy) and are striving to bring painless glucose monitoring to people with diabetes all over the world. To strengthen our development efforts, we are looking for a new colleague, who will be in charge of our software related activities.

Job Profile
Your work will include the development and maintenance of software for implementation in our glucose monitors, as well as software for supporting our internal development work. Your software will be controlling our proprietary glucose monitoring hardware, collecting and indexing data, and transmitting these to a database, from which our data analysts will access them.

As our new Software Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain software, primarily written in C#, Python, and Matlab
• Develop user interfaces supporting desired measurement protocols
• Develop and maintain our database for storage of clinical test results
• Develop automation solutions for our laboratory
• Collaborate with our hardware engineers on embedded software development
• Work rigorously with version control and documentation
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining our company’s IT infrastructure

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, yet a strong team-worker, with an innovative spirit and a drive to make a difference.

We expect you to have an MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.

The ideal candidate

• Has experience with several of the technologies we use: C#, Python, PostgreSQL, Matlab, Nginx, Ubuntu
• Is a fast learner, who will quickly adapt to the platforms that he/she is not familiar with beforehand
• Is a flexible and curious person with a wish to be involved in many aspects of our development
• Has knowledge of software development for medical devices or other applications with regulatory requirements (this is not a requirement)
