The VELUX Group’s international development center and lead factory for panes in Brædstrup (in Jutland) is looking for a new member for our development team.
At Brædstrup, we develop the panes of the future in a high-tech development environment - ensuring coordination between development, quality, procurement and production through integrated production development.

Your challenges
You will be part of a project group, working with revolutionary pane technology, and your area of expertise will be within plasma cleaning of glass surfaces. Your main responsibility is to understand the plasma cleaning techniques and implement lab equipment and prototype equipment for this project. Time allowing you will also assist in other development projects within panes and coating technology.
You will be able to draw on the scientific knowledge from your educational background and get hands-on experience and practical knowledge of production of prototypes. You will be working with both external scientists and internal specialists within the VELUX Group.
Your main tasks include:
- Understanding the techniques and embedding knowledge of plasma cleaning in the organisation
- Setting up lab equipment and prototype equipment
- Collaboration with external parties such as suppliers, universities, knowledge centers worldwide as well as internal colleagues
- Ensuring a uniform quality of the glass surface after plasma cleaning by QC setup
You must expect 30-50 days of travel per year.
The position requires, that you communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing.
Your qualifications
We are looking for person with a technical understanding of high voltage plasma cleaning both in vacuum and atmospheric conditions.
Your theoretical background is that of a (development) engineer or Master’s degree within Nano, chemistry, physics or similar. You are a skilled technician - and it would be an advantage if you have knowledge of glass
We presume you have experience from semiconductor or coater industry and knowledge from a production environment.
As a person, you possess great drive and the desire to move things forward. You are persistent and diligent, taking great pride in delivering good results even on a tight schedule.
You have an inquisitive nature with a ”can do” attitude, working systematically and documenting your findings and sharing your knowledge. You communicate and collaborate easily with the people around you - both internally and externally from various cultures - and you acknowledge that the foundation of successful teamwork is based on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
