Application Developer - Digital Analytics

The position
Siteimprove is looking for an ambitious and technically strong full-stack software developer to help us in our mission to make the web better for all. You will be joining our Digital Analytics product development team and show us how to build analytics pipelines and infrastructure to let online content owners and online traffic analysts extract knowledge from their enormous amount of click stream data.  

You can help us improve availability, increase the data volume we’re able to handle for our customers and deliver real time statistics on top of that. 

You have experience building systems operating on large volumes of data and delivering real-time statistics and numbers as well as background crunching for easy presentation of data. You know your way around relational databases and have probably tried different alternatives and understand the trade-offs between different architectures. You are fluent in the Internet protocols and failure modes and draw on that knowledge to build resilient and robust systems.

Your workplace will be in our headquarters in the heart of Copenhagen, and you will refer to the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the entire application stack for our Analytics product with focus on the pipeline. 
• Work together with product owner and team members to fulfill customer wishes.
• Facilitate much higher throughput in our product. 
• Provide real time statistics.
• Make our analytics pipeline more robust and resilient.
• You join our development team and will be touching areas like: web traffic logging, web traffic analysis, ETL, reporting and data visualization. 

We expect you to 

• Have experience corresponding to 3 years of full time software development.
• Be outstanding with SQL.
• Have experience with queues and pipeline architectures.
• Have built applications on top of REST services and provided your own endpoints. 
• Be familiar with the basics of web analytics tools such as SiteCatalyst, Webtrends or Google Analytics. 
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
