Application Developer - Accessibility

Overview
Siteimprove is looking for an ambitious and technically strong software developer to help us in our mission to make the web better for all. You will be joining our Accessibility product development team and help us build the entire software stack and infrastructure to let online content owners find accessibility issues on their platforms.

You will help us expand our product to include WAI-ARIA tests, continuously optimize our checker engine, explore ways to do tests for responsiveness and create an efficient infrastructure that allows us to cope with an ever-increasing amount of webpages. 

You have experience building web applications and consider yourself an expert in JavaScript. You are fluent in the Internet protocols and failure modes and you draw on that knowledge to build resilient and robust systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the application stack for our Accessibility product. 
• Work together with the product owner and team members to fulfill customer wishes.
• Add WAI-ARIA tests to our product.
• You will be joining our development team and touch areas such as web crawls, web standards, and JavaScript injection.

We expect you to 

• Have experience corresponding to 3 years of full time software development.
• Be outstanding with JavaScript.
• Have built applications on top of REST services and provided your own endpoints. 
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
