Senior Project Manager

Due to continued growth and expansion, we now have an excellent opportunity available as "Senior Project Manager" in Soeborg, Denmark, to join our evolving international organization.
 
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead and direct large and complex projects which require management of considerable, multi-site, resources with high level functional integration. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the project from early participation in sales phases through award and subsequent execution and closure of projects that are technical in their nature. You apply your experience in coordinating effectively the activities of a team of multi-disciplined engineers, equipment suppliers and service providers.

In your role as Senior Project Manager you ensure the scope is effectively managed, as required in accordance with stakeholders/sponsor’s contractual agreement and internal business processes. In your role you will also select, manage and develop the project team (including sub-contractors) to effectively meet the project deliverables and team member’s personal development plans and supervise and guide project managers in a coaching / mentoring role.  

Finally, you apply your effective planning skills and control of qualitative and quantitative risks to minimize any adverse impact on project costs and deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications 

• Educated to Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent; and ten to fifteen years related customer facing project management experience
• Preferably experience within Spray Drying / Evaporation Projects within the Dairy, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries
• Documented experiences of managing projects in excess of USD 20 Mill
• Documented experiences of handling multiple projects simoultaneously
• Professional project management qualification is desirable but not essential
• Extensive and proven project and/or implementation management experience across Engineering, Procurement and Construction / Commissioning.
• Experience managing Project teams of 3 to 20 people
• Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable
• Experience working on international projects is desirable
• Ability to travel +60 days per year
• Proven experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/SAP)  and project management Tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) is an advantage
• Be able to handle multiple tasks effectively whilst maintaining clear vision of priorities
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
