We need more Algorithm Development & Customer Support Engineers

Our Algorithm Development team is looking for new colleagues. Are you up for the challenge? We are experiencing an increasing market demand thus we need to grow!  

We are looking for experienced and solution-oriented algorithm development and customer support engineers for our Algorithm team. As part of the team, you will play a key role in the deployment and development of fingerprint-recognition algorithms adapted to smartphones and other portable devices, and be part of a significant R&D effort.

The Algorithm team is central in our efforts to seize opportunities in the ongoing rapid growth of biometrics on mobile devices. The team is characterized by a very high level of professional competence and experience as well as an open and innovative work environment. 

The role: 
Working with algorithm development and customer support, your responsibilities will include customer-specific performance evaluation, problem identification and algorithm design adaptation, implementation, verification and deployment. Part of the job involves dealing directly with the customers from the office as well as at customer premises, ensuring that the complete algorithm asset meets the customer requirements and is functioning as expected. In addition to being an integral part of the algorithm team, you will work in close collaboration with the teams responsible for overall customer support, HW and SW.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-oriented algorithm professional to be part of a dedicated and highly competent team of peers where you will work with challenging and intellectual projects. Your work location will be Copenhagen.

Your background:
You are an algorithm generalist with a master or Ph.D. degree in image or signal information processing, with application to pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision or similar. 

We expect you to have:

  • A strong interest in the field of algorithm development and a drive to explore new, as well as improve, existing designs
  • Ability to support customers on technical challenges centered on algorithms. Ability to drive forward understanding and closing of customer issues while communicating with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Documented industry experience in algorithm development in a relevant field
  • Ability to develop and implement algorithms effectively and efficiently, in C/C++, Python and Matlab. Experience with SW tools and processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues and troubleshoot problems on different levels (both in-depth algorithm details as well as general principles)
  • Ability to work well under pressure (e.g. due to tight time schedules, sudden target changes, customer requests etc.)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Chinese, Korean, Japanese or other relevant language skills will be seen as a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 40 days per year
