The job:
As a market leader in developing high quality products for the food analyzing industry, it is essential for FOSS to ensure that our instruments are always in accordance with the customers expectations regarding performance, reliability and within the existing laws.

In our Quality department we have an open position as Product Quality & Reliability engineer, and we are seeking one to strengthen our competences within specification, design and verification of product quality in development projects. Most of the daily work will be done in close cooperation with the Product Innovation department (R&D). You will work in a team, which today consists of 6 people and you will in total have more than 30 other colleagues in the Quality department.

Your job will be to work in development projects with; Strategies, specifications, test planning- and execution of tests along with documentation of the test results within Reliability, Environmental and Legal (REL). As Product Quality & Reliability engineer your responsibilities will also be to coordinate a small group of people working with different quality areas within a project (eg. chemistry, legal, testing and production quality).

Primary tasks
Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Ensure product quality in FOSS instruments
  • Coordinate, execute and document product quality tests (such as reliability, mechanical-, climatic- and vibration tests)
  • Transfer findings from the tests to the design engineers and to help with solutions
  • Make sure that currently used methods within product development are anchored in the projects (environmental tests, FMEA, Robustness, accelerated life tests etc.) and that new ones are investigated and implemented.

Qualifications
You are an Electronic or Mechanical engineer or similar with interest and experience within Product Development and/or Quality Assurance. You have a relevant experience within the field of HW development and production. Preferable you have experiences from working in a test house or a similar industry working with reliability issues. And it is an extra plus if you have worked as a coordinator or Project Leader. We expect you to have experience with working in project groups - and you are good at this. For the right candidate with interest in ensuring and improving the product quality, this could be a career position with numerous development opportunities in an international organisation. Since corporate language is English, you must communicate fluently in both written and spoken English.

Personal skills:
You are extroverted, resolute and persistent when ensuring that quality issues are interpreted correctly and resolutions are implemented correctly into FOSS instruments. You are a good communicator who thrives on having an active role in a cross functional teamwork with many different colleagues. You are result oriented and value honest and direct communication, as well as a positive and humorous outlook on life.
