Electrical Supervisor

Metroselskabet is seeking an Electrical Supervisor who will lead a newly created function initially within the Cityringen project.

This unit will support the project supervision organization in Metroselskabet with daily follow-up on the installation progress and ensure the quality of the craftsmanship of the electro-technical / fiber installations.

The company has a project portfolio, currently having a value close to 40 billion. kr. The main task concerns the Cityring, which is our biggest project, but also other projects such as Nordhavn Metro extension, Sydhavn extension and the new Ring 3 light rail project in the capital. There is also a significant project pipeline, which will be present, as these projects mature.

The appointee will have an academically strong mature personality who can maintain a cool head in stressful situations and is particularly result-oriented, even in difficult situations. The transportation systems contract delivery is a large and challenging task of great complexity and includes advanced equipment to control the electro-technical infrastructure and the driverless trains. One important element is cooperation with the contractors; so it would be useful to have a documented track record in this.

Knowledge of the contracting business will be crucial with considerable background knowledge of M&E installation standards.  Teamwork is essential so we seek a colleague with personal drive and positive attitude to create good cooperation and solutions.

Metroselskabet is a publicly held company, so you will be placed at the interface between the public and the private sector. As a developer, we have close daily cooperation with our main contractors in charge of the building work. You will operate in an international environment where the working languages are Danish and English, etc. and you will be working with colleagues in engineering or similar technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring, reporting and coordination within the supervisory organization.
• Provide strategic advice / guidance to supervisory colleagues so maintaining a holistic and solution-oriented focus
• Contribute to strategic development in the implementation of the projects
• Support projects in relation to ensuring consistency and quality of the performed electrical engineering work.
• Supporting projects with ongoing follow-up on deficiencies found in our data base (SIRI) concerning both the technical, financial aspects.
• Ensure experience is shared amongst colleagues and with other projects in the house.

Profile

• You are a strong and robust professional person physically fit for carrying out inspections in worksites.
• It is essential that you have significant experience in electrical engineering work with similar complex solutions and familiar with carrying out activities in a construction site.
• It is crucial that you have a relevant higher education and hold a masters in electrical or high voltage engineering or similar qualification.
• You have strong personal drive
• You are a strategic thinker and are goal oriented
• You will find solutions to problems and bring them to completion
• You have detailed knowledge of high voltage order laws and regulations.
• Good written and oral communication in Danish and English
