Internationally, COWI holds a strong competitive position in the infrastructure market, taking on a wide range of complex multidisciplinary projects. We are looking for a commissioning engineer to our office in Lyngby - are you ready for new challenges?

COWI's services in building commissioning are seeing rapid growth. Consequently, we are looking for an engineer with documented experience within building commissioning who can drive a commissioning process from the idea and programming phase, to commissioning and operation of the finished building.

Our commissioning services typically centre around installation disciplines (ventilation, mechanical, electrical, cooling, BMS, safety and building enclosure, such as solar screening and automatic windows), and their interfaces to finishes. Our services are based on Danish Standard DS 3090, "Commissioning til bygninger".

We work on projects in Denmark and abroad. Commissioning is anchored as a group in the electrical section, and a discipline leader heads the development and professional activities of the group.

COWI's Buildings unit numbers approx. 300 employees, half of which are located in Buildings, East, in Lyngby. Many of our projects involve sustainability and energy-efficient solutions. We carry out projects in Denmark and abroad - the latter are primarily carried out by employees at our Lyngby office.

Highly specialised and independent
Your position will be very self-managed, and you will be assigned to projects as commissioning manager and head the process from A to Z. You will also be technically and financially responsible for the part of the project that you head.
Your daily tasks will include everything from planning and execution of workshops, meetings, preparation of phase plans and commissioning plans, definition of relevant commissioning requirements, project review, preparation of interdisciplinary test templates, requirement specification for O&M documentation, and involvement in control and test activities throughout the execution and commissioning phase. Furthermore, acting as technical client consultant will also be part of your tasks.

We value in-depth knowledge of the technical installations in fields such as hospitals and laboratories, cultural facilities, schools and office buildings.

Commissioning expertise
Other than having a solid background in commissioning, we consider it an advantage if you have a flexible approach to your discipline and sound knowledge of other building disciplines.

Your personal qualities:

  • you are outgoing and thrive in a busy environment
  • you value cooperation, are quality-minded and able to maintain control
  • you work self-managed, and are good at planning, managing and completing your tasks
  • you are a strong communicator in Danish, speaking and writing, and have good English skills.

COWI as a work place - we offer
We offer an exciting job in COWI where we place emphasis on personal commitment, responsibility, and independence in everything we do.
You will part of an open and informal working environment with good employment practices, flexible employee benefits and a health insurance.
We have a good social environment, which is development-oriented and which considers sparring and knowledge sharing to be key elements.
You will also have the chance to shape your position, and targeted development and supplementary training will be a natural part of your job.
