Mechanical Engineer (piping discipline)

Statoil Refining Denmark A/S in Kalundborg, is the largest oil refinery in Denmark. The refinery has a capacity of 5,5 million tons/year and 350 employees. The company is owned by the Norwegian based Statoil ASA which operates in 35 countries and has around 21.000 employees worldwide.

The refinery is part of the business area Marketing, Midstream and Processing (MMP) which maximise corporate value creation in Statoil’s mid- and downstream business through safe, reliable and efficient operations. They are responsible for capturing the full value potential of all marketed and traded products such as crude oil, liquids and natural gas.

Job description

  • Ensure piping systems meet internal and external specifications
  • Maintain internal standards and specifications within the mechanical piping discipline
  • Continuously follow up the performance and condition of the refinery piping for availability, capacity and regularity
  • Ensure quality of piping criticality and maintenance concepts
  • Perform verification of cost estimates and approve technical solutions within modification projects for piping discipline
  • Ensure relevant technical documentation is updated and correct for the piping discipline
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel as required
  • Approval of installation of piping for commissioning within modifications

Qualifications

  • Relevant design & practical experience from oil & gas / chemical processing industry
  • Knowledge of relevant industry piping standards
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written
  • Bachelor or master degree within mechanical engineering with emphasis on piping.

  • Preferably 3-5 years relevant piping experience, though newly qualified personnel can also apply.
