R&D Electronics Engineer
- Help save lives and improve patient care

Do you want to help develop innovative product that saves lives and improves patient care by using your skills? Do you hold a M.Sc. in electronics engineering with +5 years of experience in electronic hardware? And do you have experience with medical standards? Then you may be our new R&D Electronics Engineer.

You will be a member of the Platform Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We have full focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This imposes high demands on your skills and broad experience.

Electronics development 
As R&D Electronics Engineer you are a vital player in product development projects. As a consultant for the cross-functional development team you will be lead responsible for the electronical design in coorperation with our external partners. 

This means that you will be responsible for 

  • Hardware/software interaction and implementation
  • Review of electrical design  
  • Review of Electrical Patient Safety 
  • Verification and testing in coorperation with out external partners.
  • Cooperation with subcontractors

You will also be responsible for documentation of the products according to FDA and ISO and you will assist QA/RA in the regulatory and quality assurance engineering issues in the electronic area.

Your contact base will be broad, and you will have interface with Ambu’s global organisation, all departments involved in product development projects and externally with subcontractors, users and knowledge centres.

Experienced medical device engineer
What characterises you personally is your high social and professional judgement and your self-motivation. In order to be successful in the job, you need to thrive in work situations with both internal and external partners where you use your outstanding interpersonal skills to ensure long-lasting and beneficial solutions. You are positive, constructive, structured, detailoriented and you combine a proactive mind-set with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines.  

You have +5 years of experience with electronic hardware development and you hold a master’s degree in electronics engineering or similar. You have experience with medical device standards 60601-1, 60601-1-2 (EMC) and 62304, including performing supplier quality audits. Additionally, you have some insight in different communication technologies (including Wireless), and you have great interest in customer understanding and translating the customer requirement/application demands into product features. 

Since we are a global company you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. As a result it is a requirement that you are fluent in English and you can expect some travelling (approximately 30 days a year).
